Holy shit this song is fucking crazy awesome, but, not to be outdone my friends in Candyland remixed this song to dubstep perfection. In the original song, pimped up vocals are layered over melodic background synthes creating a super sexy contrast, which Dell Harris adds his part perfectly. I must also give props as well to James Egbert for his part. His remix is excellent and I normally would compare it to Candyland's but they are different genres and so are incomparable. However, I think both artists recognized the best and key parts of the original song which allowed them both to play it up to achieve complete ridiculousness/ EDM madness. I really look forward to seeing what all three arists will move onto after this. If you aren't familiar with any of these artists I heavily advise you follow the links at the bottom and give them a look.

Miike Snow - Devil's Work (Dirty South Remix)
Another hit from Dirty South! On last Tuesday Dirty South's remix of "Devil's Work" hit beatport to much excitement. This full fledged remix features a sick piano melody, chill vocals as usual by Miike Snow, and an insanely catchy drop. I must hand it to Dirty South, he really transformed this song. though he didn't mess with the drums or piano he turned this song into what I hope will be a huge club banger. Lately, Miike Snow has been getting a lot of publicity with his song "Paddling Out" getting remixed by Wolfgang Gartner. Both of these songs have been released in their mega-masterpiece album "Happy to You", give it a look. Please support the artist, I'll post where you can do so :)

Artist Spotlight: Mekanikirb
How are you liking the daily posts? Today's artist in the spotlight is a Mekanikirb, an American DJ who is the essence of dubstep. Mekanikirb first discovered dubstep while he was studying music theory
two years ago. Not long after first hearing dubstep, Mekanikirb was hard
at work, producing electronic on a daily basis. At only 17 years old
and with nine years of musical experience under his belt, Mekanikirb
wants nothing more than to push the genre into new unexplored places.
He especially enjoys looping in audio bits from old school movies
and TV programs he's enjoyed over the years. His latest track, "Nasty"
plays on traditional dubstep with a truly unique synth sound interwoven
throughout the piece. Be sure to keep your ears finally tuned with
Mekanikirb, as he curb stomps your brain with sick bass drops, tight
loops & heady arrangements.
Mekanikirb's best jams:
Nasty is mekanikirb's newest post on his soundcloud which features a catchy melody, hard hitting drop, and some of the sickest build up lyrics. This track is truly deserving of the title, Nasty, and if no label picks it up Mekanikirb is getting cheated. NO ONE CAN TOUCH US YOUR NOT ABOVE US MONEY SAYS YOUR BITCH WANNA LOVE US, IM NASTY!

Wolfgang Gartner - Red Line
Yesterday Wolfgang Gartner posted on his soundcloud a preview for his new song "Red Line" even though downloads had been popping up for it weeks before this. Personally, I really like it and think its hell of a catchy song but, he has been getting some shit for making progressive house. I can see where this hate is coming from because it is not on the same level as other progressive songs by big names such as "Kontiki" and its not Wolfgang's genre to mess with. "Red Line" also isn't even close to as good as his #1 songs "Space Junk" "Illmerica" or "There and Back". This song is fresh anyway though, so I am going to give you guys a free download link. Have fun with this shit.

Upcoming Artist: High Top Kicks
Hey everyone, sorry for the recent lack in posts due to Spring Break.... kinda a busy time of year if you catch my drift. Anyway were back and, as a "we're sorry", we are doing a full update of the site and, starting next week, daily posts. We are also adding gonna have a special surprise on Cinco De Mayo. I'll give you a one word hint, STORE.
Anyway the whole reason I am posting is to tell you about these guys with major fucking talent that are straight out of Baton Rouge, LA. High Top Kicks is a duo made up of two friends Gabriel Saint & Brent Armstrong and they drop tracks of a 200 karat bass. They use Live 8 and produce anything that moves and have remixed songs from popular jams, Somebody That I Used To Know, Rack City, and We Are Young, to Figure's Must Destroy and Deftone's Change. They even gave a Lily Allen song a new look. These guys were born along with a laptop, ready to drop tunes. Be stoked for their new music video coming soon and their Remix EP for their song "I Want You" (Not Lucky Date's) featuring remixes by Ben 'Samples,' Wick-It The instigator, Bass Science and Slade Templeton of Defunct. They are also releasing a split EP with Matt B. of Bass Science to go along with their east coast/west coast tour in June (which I will look into going to). To end this long post here's a quote from Gabriel Saint of High Top Kicks (and beware because this shit is deep):
I only do what I do because I don't know anything else. I was raised on this and I will decline on this. Everything goes to every individual who enjoys listening to my music. Without ears there is no mouth. :)
